Casey Cole Higginbotham leads an honest and courageous examination and celebration of women and their stories from both Testaments and what they might mean for the Church today. Provides historical, theological, and literary insight into biblical women’s relationships with each other, with men, and with God.
Sessions include:
+Three Marys and a Martha: What Jesus’ interactions with these women mean for us now.
+Those Bible Verses: an academic interpretation of the Scriptures most hotly debated for gender relationship in the home, the world, and the church.
+How to Read the Rough Stuff: a pathos-approach to the ‘terrifying texts’ about women in the Bible.
Women come away from this time feeling seen, loved, and emboldened, and have a better sense of belonging and curiosity about their faith, church, and Holy Scriptures.
A woman following Jesus? You're in good company.

By popular demand, Casey Cole Higginbotham returns as our guest speaker for the 2nd Annual Women’s Retreat at Grace Point Camp and Retreat Center in Kingston, Tennessee on April 25th-27th, 2025.
The Planning Team is once again hard at work putting together this amazing weekend. We’ll gather for times of prayer, food, and fellowship; opportunities for discussion in small groups; knitting/crochet, journaling, hikes, sabbath time, YOGA, and more. The weekend includes meals provided by Grace Point.
There are two ways to participate in this weekend retreat: Friday-Sunday, and Saturday only. Those attending Saturday only will arrive in time for the first session that morning and enjoy a full day of conversation and activities through dinner and the evening Q&A. Those attending Friday-Sunday will begin with dinner Friday evening, a social hour, and small group discussions.
We expect the retreat to fill up quickly! The deadline to register is Sunday, April 13th. The retreat is open to the Women of St. Luke’s, and to friends and family who may wish to join us. Register below.
Space is limited! Register Early! Deadline is April 13th.
